A little bit about the process

We care about quality, design & detail.

Each carefully selected piece is fully stripped of the old upholstery, any necessary repairs to the frame are carried out and the exposed wood is restored retaining it’s vintage patina.  The frame is reupholstered using the relevant fire retardant fibre and filling materials using traditional and modern upholstery techniques and quality fabrics to create a one off piece for your home.

A little bit about me

A passion for Mid Century design and in particular furniture led me to leave my career as a dentist behind and retrain as an upholsterer.

I have a AMUSF diploma in traditional and modern upholstery and I have been applying my skills to the restoration of beautiful mid century pieces.

Every piece I work on has its own story and I enjoy finding chairs that tell a story about a prolific time period for design and architecture, urban development and geo-political shifts from the end of world war II until the late 70s.  Mid Century style is timeless and focuses on clean lines, organic forms and form always follows function.   My motivation is to find the best of these and restore them so they can be loved again by another generation and let their story live on.
